This is a tale of two young adults simultaneously searching for magic and meaning in the city of broken hearts. With an anxious grip held onto each moment, our two subjects float through the beautiful and gritty urban bar scene of San Francisco.
The melodic and tonal choices paint an ethereal scene where urban earth, fantastical hope and outer space meet in the eyes, ears and minds of our young lovers. This song was inspired by 60's portrayal of the open road being a source of freedom, translated to modern day pre-tech San Francisco. The idea that lost souls could come together and that there is a place for them, which I believe San Francisco has also been capturing for over a century.. not just the open road.
